Qualifying Examination (QE)
Students are required to pass the three-step qualifying examinations.
[QE1] The 1st Qualifying Examination(Will be implemented during the 3rd term of Master Degree Couse 2nd year)
- Basic Medical Knowledge(Achievement of “Good (A)” or above in all five subjects of basic medical sciences)
- Basic Innovation Ability(Able to propose a new research or a start-up)
- Basic English Ability(English ability equivalent to TOEIC score of 700)
[QE2] The 2nd Qualifying Examination(Will be implemented just before the completion of Doctoral Degree Course 2nd year)
- Innovation Deployment Ability(Able to propose a research on novel topics, or a social implementation plan)
- Excellent Presentation Skills (Able to explain a research plan or start-up plan of your own clearly)
- Leadership qualities(Able to plan and manage lectures or symposiums, organize annual iMeC Retreat, or to get a team together in order to summarize a business plan for an iMeC Retreat)
- Excellent English Ability(English ability equivalent to TOEIC score of 750)
[QE3] The 3rd Qualifying Examination(Will be implemented just before the completion of Doctoral Degree Course)
- Innovation Development Ability(Able to expand research results to a patent application or joint research with companies)
- Outstanding Presentation Ability in English(Able to explain a research plan or start-up plan of your own clearly in English)
- Outstanding English Ability(English ability equivalent to TOEIC score of 850)
